Viņa Harijība /// His Harryness

A week ago we had a tea-party, and I find the most beautiful thing was a cupcake sugar-bowl with Prince Harry's teaspoon. Lasma smirks every time I have the desire to take a photo that even distantly reminds of something edible, yet William and Catherine are having their half-year wedding anniversary today, so today I am quite allowed to do this. Once when we were discussing her latest knitting habits, she even told that "everybody has its addiction - for some it happen to be taking photos of food".
Lasma has got a terrible addiction from knitting. Since she has started to knit her black sparkly jumper, the most common answers I get to such ordinary and quite inviting questions as "Are you coming to eat with me?", "Want some coffee?", "Come, look at this!" are "Wait, one more row!", "Coming, just have to finish this one!", "I'm knitting!". Common and less inving answers. That is sure that she is unable to pull herself away from finishing the row, and then she keeps on with the next one, and how one could leave it unfinished, an then another nice one as a little bonus.
"Wanna watch Clint Eastwood's "The Bourne Something", starring Matt Damon?" "I'm coming!!" The only thing I can imagine that would work.
For all that, I am tolerant and understanding. The jumper is gonna be pretty, she says the next one might be for me (I want a jumper with reindeer), my snapping of pictures of food seems less blaring, and what one can do to addiction at all.

^^^^^

Almost all of my Name Day's gifts were rosy - either pink, red and cream too. Not all of them got in the photos, for instance, immensely pretty raspberry cupcakes didn't, as they were a way less pretty and photogenic at the supposed time of taking photos. Cats made a little exploration, of course. What captured their interest most of all, were both of roses, marzipan strawberries and cat ring. I suppose they even tried to mark them as their property with their little, well-hidden glands.

"Usually eight or nine persons have gathered in a small place:  a train covered with snow, a girls' school, an English country house. And then - oh Lord! - someone is found dead."
Usually I don't read "Rigas Laiks" [Latvian magazine Riga's Time], heaps of text, everything there seems sort of intellectual, and is isn't very 'girls magazine', but today I did browse it a bit, and maybe should do it more often. I came across an article, it was something about a crime writer, I guess; it was not Agatha Christie, although the article started as it might have been about Miss Marple! In summer I saw an adorable episode, where the action took place in a girls' school; it was such a good episode (oh no, it was actually Hercules Poirot himself, not Miss Marple, but I find it counts anyways) - with fake Swiss princess, girls' tennis on the grass, cruel, kind and other characteristics owning teachers, undercover spy, mighty building and rubies in tennis rackets. English country houses appear at least in 80% of cases, typically they are prominent local estates, where resides an aristocratic family who has lost its glory and whose several well-mannered children are grown up, good-looking and due to a mysterious event in the past have left home.
I didn't get to read anything more (for instance, which writer was it actually), for all that I was in such a good mood. "Rigas Laiks" could be quite promising reading material, and it lead me pleasantly into the anticipation of tonight's detective series watching. In the spring I was thinking how I was gonna watch Miss Marple in June evenings with my mum, and I still like it, and right now it's available. How very good indeed. There are always eye-catching landscapes, you (or at the very least  I) can never guess who is the true culpable one, British houses, fog and gardens, pretty people in pretty costumes and 30s interior, spry Miss Marple (of course), and usually she also has a witty girl on her side, who is interested in helping her, and a quite shrewd young man - investigator (naturally, less ingenious then the knitting lady herself). These two are linked by the crime and romantic interest, and if not them, then warm feelings tie together some of the mysterious castle residents. This is exactly what I want to think about. Because of lucky coincidence it is even advisable for my education. My life seems so pleasantly arranged, when on Friday night there is Miss Marple on TV,and I am at home.
